Peter began his culinary journey with a passion for cooking Asian cuisine, passed on to him by his father. This planted a seed that has grown into an intense love for food.
Whilst pursuing a career within the finance sector Peter was continually drawn back to the kitchen, taking as many opportunities to cook for friends and family as possible. From growing vegetables and rearing livestock to the presentation of the finished dish, he wanted to learn everything about the art and food soon became his obsession.
Having attended the award winning Ashburton School of Cookery, Peter achieved the highly regarded Ashburton Diploma. Realising his passion could be turned into a business, Fresh From 77 was born.
Something that continually motivates Peter about food is that whether you are a beginner or a professional chef, you can always learn more and from one another. It’s a never-ending journey.
